Skype: My One True Love

One of my closest friends lives out of town. And by out of town, I don't mean Barrie, or Milton. She lives in Atlanta Georgia.
Ana and I spent almost every day together during the school year; we both live in residence and eat together, we worked at the same job, we had some classes together, and we also just enjoy spending time together. After practically living together for a year, exam time brings on a touch of sadness since friends are leaving. Like I said previously, friends become your family in University, so it's really like your family is leaving.
 TO ATLANTA GEORGIA!!

On top of all this, Ana is leaving on Saturday to go to Mexico for 9 weeks. And then I leave on my grand adventure.
TRANSLATION: Bye bye BFF for a year. :( :(  :(

If today was 50 years ago, we would have to mail each other letters, wait for the other person to get it, reply to it, and then send one back.  You could go a month without hearing from someone.
Then came phones, email, Facebook...
Enter one of the greatest adventures of all time:
SKYPE: the invention which allows you to have a coffee date with someone across the country.

As a person who is very close with their family, and relies a lot on her friends, the ability to feel so close to people you love while being far, far away is going to be amazing for me next year.
Glendon is such a multinational school, with so many international students, friends on exchange, friends who are at Glendon on exchange. With programs like Skype, our friendships don't need to suffer just because the world is so big.

I'll Be There Soon.
